ERASMUS POLICY STATEMENT (EPS)
1. Strategic Vision and Internationalization
Our institution views internationalization as a transversal pillar that enhances the quality and prestige of Higher Vocational Education and Training (VET). Under the framework of the new Spanish Organic Law 3/2022, our strategy is based on creating a robust European and international network where learning is shared between the classroom and the real professional environment through FEOE (Training in Companies or Equivalent Organizations). Our goal is to train global-minded, versatile professionals capable of adapting to multicultural and highly technical work environments.
2. Specialized Cooperation by Professional Fields
Our partnership policy is selective and focused on providing high-level practical experience. We seek collaboration with Companies (with a special emphasis on SMEs), Institutions, or Universities that share our standards of innovation in our three key areas:
- IT and Communications: Cooperation with tech firms, research centers, and engineering faculties for training in cybersecurity, Big Data, network administration, and advanced software development.
- Administration and Finance: Alliances with international financial departments and academic bodies leading the way in digital administrative management, European regulatory compliance, and the use of cutting-edge ERP systems.
- Trade and Marketing: Collaboration with global marketing agencies, foreign trade departments, and universities specialized in e-commerce, market research, and cross-border communication strategies.
3. Geographical Priorities: A Horizon Oriented toward Quality
Our geographical policy is dynamic and focused on complementing the comprehensive training of our students and recent graduates. We prioritize mobility to countries and regions that stand out for:
- Innovation Ecosystems and Tech Hubs: Leading European regions hosting industrial clusters relevant to IT and Administration.
- Global Trade Nerve Centers: For the Trade and Marketing field, we prioritize collaboration with entities located in major logistics hubs, strategic port areas, and cities with a high density of marketing and foreign trade agencies.
- Support for SMEs and Institutional Synergy: We recognize the immense value of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) as accessible and versatile learning environments, ideal for students to take on cross-functional responsibilities.
- International Outreach (Non-associated Countries): While our primary focus is the EU, we are open to cooperation with third countries not associated with the programme worldwide when the mobility offers exceptional added value or technologies not available locally.
4. Target Groups and Staff Development
- Students and Recent Graduates: International FEOE is our priority to guarantee global employability and the development of technical expertise.
- Teaching and Administrative Staff: We actively encourage mobility for personal and professional development. Observing best practices in other Higher Education Institutions or companies allows our staff to update their technical knowledge and pedagogical methodologies.
5. Inclusion and Diversity Strategy
We fully embrace the commitment of the IES Ágora Inclusion and Diversity Strategy, ensuring that «Erasmus+ is for everyone» by providing individualized support and removing economic, geographical, or health-related barriers to ensure equity in access.
6. Digitalization and Administrative Agility
To facilitate seamless international cooperation, our management is 100% digital:
- Digital Signature: We prioritize the use of recognized electronic signatures for all official documentation (Learning Agreements, FEOE Agreements, and certificates) to ensure agile and sustainable processing.
- Erasmus+ App: We actively promote the Erasmus+ App as the primary tool for students to manage their administrative steps and mobility experience.
7. Preparation and Dual Mentorship System
To ensure the maximum pedagogical impact of the mobility, we implement a rigorous support system:
- Linguistic Support: The center fosters the use of the OLS (Online Language Support) platform and provides additional linguistic preparation to ensure that students can fully benefit from their FEOE period.
- Dual-Tutor Mentorship: Each mobility is supervised through a dual-mentorship system. A tutor at our IES and a mentor at the host Company, Institution, or University work together to design, monitor, and evaluate the Training Plan, ensuring a high-quality educational experience.
8. Expected Impact
- Institutional Attractiveness: Consolidating our IES as a benchmark center for internationalized Higher VET.
- Staff Growth: A faculty that overcomes linguistic barriers and leads educational innovation.
- Certification and Employability: We guarantee automatic credit recognition for all participants. Beyond the standard Europass Diploma Supplement, our center issues a Specific Institutional Certificate. This document provides a personalized and detailed validation of the specific tasks performed and technical skills acquired during the FEOE or postgraduate mobility, serving as a high-value professional credential for the global labor market.
